After graduation, I started a job at Franklin Covey and I worked there for 3 years. In July of 1998, I married Tony Drake. We met when I was in 8th grade at a neighborhood party. I dated Tony off and on in High School and was engaged to him for 9 months. After 2 years of marriage I decided that it was time to go back to school. I attended Mountain West College from 2000-2002. I now have a degree as a Paralegal. After graduating from Mountain West in 2002, I got a job working for a the law firm Cook, Skeen & Robinson. I worked there for two years and decided that I needed a "less stressful" job for a while. So I worked as a Title I Aid at Oquirrh Hills Elementary for a couple years.
In June of 2005, Tony and I found out that we were going to have a baby. We had tried to have a baby for over 6 years, we even applied for adoption. We also did all of the necessary tests to see if we could have kids. So when I found out that I was pregnant I was shocked! We even had a trip to Disneyland planned and so that made things harder. So at 6 weeks pregnant we went on our trip and needless to say, I didn't have a very good time.
In November of 2005 at only 6 months, our little girl decided to make her entry into the world.

I developed toxemia and my body and the baby's heartbeat wasn't doing so well. Weighing in at 1lb. 10 oz and 121/4 inches long, Alyssa Jane Drake came into the world. Now Alyssa is 21 months old and she weighs less than 20lbs. Even though I had a rough pregnancy and she had to stay in the hospital for 4 months, I wouldn't trade any of it.
Currently we live in Kearns and Tony works for the Park City Group. He is a software developer and he is attending school at SLCC. I am a stay at home mom and I do Avon on the side. Even though I have my good days and my bad days, I am grateful to be a wife and a mother.
